About Us

The Rose and Crown is a family run pub based in Charlton, near Banbury

We are located in the small picturesque village of Charlton, close to Brackley, Silverstone, Bicester and Banbury. Dating back to the seventeenth century its homely comfortable atmosphere makes it an ideal venue for a traditional home cooked pub meal complemented with an excellent wine menu, Cask Ales, Fine Spirits, Teas and Coffees.

Warm up after a long walk in front of our cosy fireplace

In winter it’s a welcome stop for hikers, with muddy boots and wet gloves to gather around the large crackling fire and enjoy a warming hot drink and freshly prepared meals.

Our spacious gardens are an excellent place to spend your summers

In the summer the garden offers an excellent venue to enjoy the fantastic views over the Cherwell Valley and to bask in the warm sun while enjoying some well deserved refreshments. We can cater for private or corporate functions in our Function Lounge with personalised meals, snacks and bar facilities. A large T.V. screen is available for presentations.
